Excellent shave today.

WR2 using only the 1.35SB side and a Gillette Platinum (2).

This is my 8th shave in a row with the WR2 and I love this razor. I should get the call for a WR1 in the next month or so and I will sell a bunch of other razors at that point. I love my Rockwell, Karve and Game Changer but they will just collect dust once I have two Wolfman Razors.

WR2 1.25
Rapira

Greek Cafe soap/splash

rapira was excellent in today’s timeless shave but not that good in the WR2.. live and learn

for anyone that has this soap splash combo, do u get burn from it? I light up like Rudolph’s nose, and get a terrible burn feeling, not sure what it is? The cardamom?

Wow, I've never seen that gap before.

Mine is a 1.45 which gives a great shave, today with a Bic.View attachment 1328574
The 1.65 is not a "standard" gap they offer, but after a bunch of research, that's the one I decided on. FWIW, they let me know that if I chose a nonstandard gap, they wouldn't accept a return of it. I don't know (but would like to know) what the max that he can make is. I prefer very efficient razors. This is only my second shave with this razor, though, so just getting to know it.

Fumbling about.

When I read @3oclockShadow & @Leverspro with their 1.65 and 1.45 gaps several things happen within my mind as it fumbles with the upcoming decision of which Wolfman to acquire next.
  1. Am I being a wimp when I think anything above 1.15 might have too much blade feel, or be "too aggressive," or keep me from remaining in the land of comfortable daily shaves?
  2. Since I certainly don't have a 3 o'clock shadow, do I need and would I benefit from a high gap WR2?
  3. What planet are these gentlemen from? (Which takes me back to #1.)
  4. It surely would be nice to know more about everyone's whiskers and skin.
  5. I wish there were an easier and less expensive way to figure out "the right" WR2, but reality rears its ugly head and/or we'll all insane hobbyist shavers who don't need any of this high end kit to get a good enough shave.
  6. OTOH, the WR2 sure is smooth at 1.15. Would it be just as great for me at 1.55 or 1.35?
  7. Is this a fun thread or what! Great razor porn.
Bet I'm not the only one.

Happy shaves,

Jim
