So, What's your assessment on the TI? Can you offer any comparative comments?

In the past I owned and sold the 1.15 OC, 1.15 SB (not efficient enough for my course beard) and the 1.25 SB, which I also sold after I acquired the 1.55 SB. All in SS, polished (mirror and basic).
I still own the latter, and loving it. So far the gap works wonders for me, so I won’t comment on that. Now, the comparison between metals: I like the SS as it keeps me alert throughout the shave, whereas the light weight of the titanium brings maybe a bit of over confidence and it’s possible to loose a bit of focus. In the same time, I LOVE the weight of Titanium which I believe makes the razor more manoeuvrable. I prefer the face feel of the titanium. I also very much prefer how the matte Titanium looks and feels in hand (basic matte on my razor looks nothing like basic btw, amazing work from James) Shave-wise, same results: stellar efficiency while still being very smooth. I never came across a more efficient razor, and I tried a few…
If I have to choose between the two, I’d keep the Titanium. But as I don’t have to, I’ll happily keep both and very much enjoy the differences.

That is a fantastic looking handle. Is there any up charge for ordering a non standard handle like this?

Thank you, I thought it would go very well with the Wr2 head. No there is not an up-charge for ordering hybrid Ti handle. Polished handle just costs more in comparison to matte/brushed Ti handle.

Fwiw I just received a SS WR1 with a hybrid WRH3/7 handle and there was no uplift either.

Thank you for that information, it is greatly appreciated. I am considering a few handle options for my next order and there are many great options. I am also considering the WR2 head in titanium with the same gap (1.05) as I have in SS but I am just not sure about the weight as the head seems very light at around 19 g according to Tara. Decisions, decisions…..
