My best advice is to make friends with someone or better still several people who own Wolfman razors and borrow a few different models and gaps.
I own a WR3 but have borrowed this razor in at least four different configurations from friends. Opinions on Wolfman gaps are super subjective and there is no substitute for trying it yourself. Handles and choice of materials do make a difference.
I also have a few WR1s but never really cared for the WR2 design - although, I'd still love to try the original BBS-1 one day. I had to borrow and buy/sell a number of heads to find my gaps.
