Will re-plating affect the shave of my razor?

I have two razors I'm considering sending out for re-plating.
Will the additional material affect the blade gap and change the shave?

Also, who are the guys who do plating around here?

Can they redo the gold plating? I have a gold ball handled Tech that has a couple of pits on the top of the top plate that I'd like to get fixed.

I'd also like to get the head of my Gem travel replated. Along with a few others.

The difference would be imperceivable I would think. The plating if .001" thick would only affect the blade gap on the safety bar, lessening the gap by .001, as the plating on the doors wouldn't affect the gap. Most razors have a varying blade gap of a few thousandths along the edge anyway. Don't worry, it won't hurt it at all.

No.
I have gold and rhodium re-plated razors.
They shave better than they ever did with no issues.
