Wilkinson Sword?

Has anyone actually had experience that is positive with Wilkinson? I am a newbie and I really wanted to give these blades a chance...but I think that my
wife's feather duster is sharper.

I'm currently trying out the Wilkinson Sword Premium Chromium blades. Just 2 shaves in thus far, but they seem promising at this point in time. Sharp, smooth, and comfortable. Now we'll just see what kind of longevity they have.

Once again YMMV.

I used them in the past and they worked for me.

Sold most of them because I just like Astra blades as my go to blade now.

Wilkinson Sword Classic (made in Germany) are good blades indeed.
Not the sharpest or the smoothest you can find, but, in my opinion, "standard" blades that can give comfortable shaves.

I have the Wilkinson white label, origins unknown. I found them to be comfortable and reasonably sharp, along the lines of a Crystal +, perhaps a little sharper. I use them for 3 shaves, and can't complain about them.

I'd really like to like the German ones because they're readily available. But they're dull in comparison to other DE blades.

I've gotten good results from German Wilki's. For me they're good for two shaves. the big plus about them for me is that I can get them locally.

The Indian ones are grand. Bullgoose, among others, sells them.

The German ones are not quite as good, but still reliable - I get a week out of one.

Some of the other Aussie members here aren't fond of the Brazilian Wilks, but - again - I think they are at least as good as the German ones.

Overall, I like them.

I used up a pack of WS. They were good blades some of the time, but seemed to be inconsistent from blade to blade. Most of the pack gave me good shaves but a few were butcher knives. Not a blade I'd use again.

i have heard great things about Wilkinson saloons

They are not perhaps the best in the league but good for a shave. Usually they are targeted at salons in India where this is a cheap blade loaded in a shavete for single use or perhaps for polishing off the side whiskers or a head tonsure... They aren't the most aggressive or sharp of all blades.

Recently in this forum someone was mentioning blades made in Russia, using the same machinery obtained from UK in early 2000's where original Wilkinsons used to be made, and from the same kind of steel too.

I am positive it is not Gillette 7'o clock, it was some other brand, I can't repeat it, non English name anyway. Perhaps Rapira ? One of the Rapira varieties? Can someone tell more about this ?

I picked up a set at my local pharmacy. Classics, in a white/yellow packaging. I have no idea where they are made. I thought they shaved well, although they are overpriced.
