What's new

Wilkinson Sword Super Chrome ?

Anyone try these? I was looking for Wilkinson and ran into these at the walmart website. I don't really shop at walmart just because Target is much closer. I think I'm gonna take a trip tomorrow and see if they have them in stock. They have them listed for 1.76 for a 10 pack.

I'd venture to guess that most of us have tried the Walmart Wilkies. I didn't care for them too much, but they work well enough, and clearly they're the least expensive locally-available blade in the states.

Don't do it! The Walmart Wilkies are the only blade I've used in which I had to bin the blade during the first pass. I'd rather shave with a single edge paint scraper.

I kinda like them, you would never mistake them for a blade as such as a Feather but for what they are, they do fine. I actually get a good four shaves out of them in my R41 but can no longer get them here, the local Wally world has what I guess is a newer version which for the buck 76 or so, they will work in a pinch :)

In my experience with them, I would put them somewhere between a Derby blade and an Astra SP. Certainly not my go-to but they're decent, especially if you're waiting for other blades to be delivered as I was.

Ive tried the other Wilkinson Swords The ones labeled "CLASSIC" These Chrome versions look to be new. I thought the Classics. I usually like to try my blades on different razors, just because they dont work out in one razor it doesn't mean they wont be good in another. Ill try to make it to walmart and see whats up with them. Ill let you guys know.

Used 3, gave the rest away with the Weishi Ming I bought.

BTW anyone what brand Walgreens blades are? They cost twice what Feathers do, and cant be any where as good.

Possibly a low end ASR blade

Looks about right, with that ASR American-style dispenser they don't look anything like the Walmart German Wilkinson blades I've bought ... which work fine for me by the way. But then I get along with Derby and Dorco too.
