Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick

Just got my first ever wilkinson sword yesterday and used it last night , great shave with my gillette aristocrat , smooth creamy texture , easily on a par with arko palmolive and speick , love it

There are some fantastic shave sticks out there to be had. Every time I use a different one I think I have found "the one" until I pick up another one then it starts all over again.

Wilkinson is right up there at #1 (along with all of the others I like just as well) :001_smile

Wilkinson Sword shave stick is at least a hundred times better than Wilkinson Sword soap in a tub.

Marco, I don't have the box handy, but I believe that the Wilkinson Sword stick contains lanolin.

I love the electric blue color right out of the package. It easily makes a terrific lather, shaves easily and has a nice post shave face feel.

My one desire for improvement would be that it lacks in the scent department, but in light of the great lather, I can live with the neutral soapy scent.

The blue stick is one of my favorites! Agreed that the scent is a little generic and medicinal but it's not strong, very unobtrusive. Here is the ingredients list taken from the B&B wiki page, couldn't find it elsewhere...

Potassium stearate, sodium stearate, potassium tallowate, potassium cocoate, aqua, sodium tallowate, glycerin, sodium cocoate, parfum, lanolin, potassium hydroxide, tetrasodium EDTA, tetrasodium etidronate, sodium hydroxide, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl salicylate, citronellol, geraniol, hydroxycitronellol, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, limonene, linalool, CI 51319, CI 74160, CI 77891.

It is a great stick Marco. Please let us know what you think when you've had a chance to try it.

I certainly will, Chris. I'm only somehow worried about the heavy blue colour of the soap. Does it produce a snow white lather? I don't want to stain or damage any of my brushes.

The lather it produces is white. I've never had any brush staining issues when using it.

Thanks for this, Chris. I still remember one of my Vulfix brushes getting a pinkish colour after a few shaves with Trumpers Rose cream!

Talow(twice), glycerin AND lanolin? Sounds good.
