My usual online shaving tackle shop, La Barbiera, had a couple of clearance offers on so I got 200 Derby extras for £10, 100 German Wilkinson Swords for £13 and 200 Sunekos from ali in China for £17 so I`ve got enough for a hairy army troop if I get invaded.

So 1400 blades that I can donate to friends and the needy - brilliant.

Can`t wait to try the Sunekos but lately I`ve been getting 2-3 very reasonable shaves from unbranded Chinese blades with no writing on them that came with my budget razors.

With my 50% laurel and 70% laurel Aleppo soaps on way I`m gonna have a lovely shave in the bath with my eyes closed next week with some tranquil Naseer Shamma Iraqi oud playing on the windowsill - Heaven !

Try the FlyDear Super Platinum for a very good low cost Chinese blade. I stocked up when someone listed them on AliExpress for $1.99 per 100.

Whatever white label blades are included with the Haward safety razors are pretty good in my opinion too.

Thank you for the recommendation cranewarrior _ I`m sure I`ve got a couple somewhere I got on aliexpress years ago - from memory I think they were great - nothing wrong with them - and bargain price as you say - cheers for reminding me buddy.

Enjoy!! Of the three blades, the German Wilkinsons are my favorite. But you need to try things for yourself.

I had been avoiding Derby Extras for over a dozen years due to the bashing they often received.

A few months ago I finally decided to order a tuck, and a tuck of the Premiums.

To my surprise, I liked them both.

The Extra is milder, so it tugs a little. But being milder I find it gentler on the skin when going against the grain. Expect “tugginess” when trying this blade.

The Premiums are mid level sharpness and very comfortable as well though a bit too sharp to my liking when going against the grain.

The Extra is milder, so it tugs a little. But being milder I find it gentler on the skin when going against the grain. Expect “tugginess” when trying this blade.

The Premiums are mid level sharpness and very comfortable as well though a bit too sharp to my liking when going against the grain.

They changed their blades in 2016. Went to thinner metal (0.1mm to 0.09mm) with a somewhat sharper hone. My Derby Extras are post 2016 production and work well for me.
