Wife wants a metal detector

Any of you guys familiar with metal detectors? The wife would like to try one so Im kinda looking for an entry level one, but I dont wanna buy junk just for the sake of buying one. Im kinda looking in the 100 to 150 dollar range. Anyone have any input on bounty hunter tracker 4? Any help would be appreciated. Also Ive never used one, so I dont even know if I would just be wasting my money on that model.

I bought a Bounty Hunter a few years ago, I think the Tracker II, and it is still going strong. I figured I could upgrade later, but I've been happy with this one.
