What's new

Why no US Semogue distributor?

Anyone know why we've got to go out of country to buy these?

Each review says they're great. How come no vendors here carry them?

Shipping from vintagescent is like $3, so I don't see the need for a US vendor. I've found that delivery is rather quick to for an overseas shipment to.

I would not and haven't ever hesitated to order from Bruno at vintagescent. Great service all around

Plus you can get spanish Floid there as well.

I had a great experience with Vintage Scent as well. Great service, cheap/fast shipping especially for being overseas.

He is an excellent vendor with very fast delivery and very good communication.

Cheers,

There used to be a US vendor but he's gone now. You can find some Semogue brushes with Fendrihan I believe it is though which is closer, but Vintage Scent does have quick shipping for being over in Europe. It'd be great to see a US vendor to start stocking Semogues. :thumbup1:

As Leon is virtually next door to the factory, he doesn't have shipping in charges. Anyone else will, and will pass those on, plus their own shipping.

Makes it harder to compete, and Leon is already cheaper than those that do carry them.

Thing is, with everything above, VintageScent carries just about any Semogue you'd want. The other vendor did carry some of the more well-known items, but Leon's selection is 2nd to none I've seen for Semogues.

I'm a repeat customer of Vintage Scent - I've gone through a couple of phases with boars, so I've ordered a total of 5 brushes from him. Always a timely process, and as has already been said, the shipping is cheaper than most domestic sites I've seen.

He's also just a top-notch guy to work with.

Nice selection of Semogue brushes and the price is very good.. OK, I want a new brush which ones do you recommend?

Totally depends on what you like - I personally think the 830 is a great all-around performer (though I personally found the handle on the small side for my bear paws). The 1305 is a similar knot, but not quite as stiff.

Thanks , I like these 2 ... I may just have to get both... hehe I am over due for a new brush. I been wanting to try a Semogue for a while now as they seem to be of good quality for the money.

I have had no problems with the service from Vintage and we all know Leon is a stand up guy, but it did take over two weeks for delivery the only time I ordered a brush. I would pay a premium to receive brushes faster. I am very impatient. That's just me. If I were given the choice between $3 shipping and $7 shipping and the more expensive option gets to my doorstep faster...I pay the extra money. Again , nothing against Leon, he's great with customer service and quick to reply to any questions. But a stateside option would be nice.
