Why is the merkur 42c called a 1904 classic?

Why is the 42C called the 1904 classic when it does not look like the 1906 GILLETTE.
The handles of are totally different.

i just assumed it was because they are made out of melted down 1904 Ford MTs ........no?

the head is patterened off of gillette's old type that had a patent from 1904.
