I don't have a funny description.
The new Accuthrive Med Prep, which replaced the Personna Med Prep, but is the same blade, is now 82$ for 100 on Amazon. What is this madness?
@Flanders, please post a link, I wanna check it out.
From what I gather, and I could be wrong, but here goes...These are the Personna (now Edgewell) lab blues I use sold on Amazon for under $18 for 100. Lab blue and meds are all the same which are stainless PFE coated.
I agree with you no matter what they say on the packaging it is probably the identical blade. I think the hospital blade says "for hospital use". They work for me and I have been using them a long time and they are always consistently good. Never fail. From what I gather, and I could be wrong, but here goes...
Accuthrive, the blades the OP is talking about are the ones that say "hospital use" on them and they are marketed as a med prep blade, usually only sold to medical businesses in large quantities (like 5000).
Accuforge has a different part number, isn't engraved at all, and is marketed to the shaving world in lesser quantities, 250 per box as mentioned above. Replaced the old Personna Comfort Coat "lab blue" blade.
Probably the same blade, but marked, prepared, packaged, and marketed differently from each other.

Back in the day I often purchased 100 count boxes of each (something like $13 and $25). The rumor was always that they were the same blade, but the Med Prep had an additional (sterilization) wash for medical use. But they were made in two different locations on (obviously) different machines. I would typically find 3-4 "poor) edges in the box of 100 Labs and 1 or 2 in the box of Med Preps. Most shavers thought the half price box was worth the risk, but nothing is too good for me.From what I gather, and I could be wrong, but here goes...

I might know somebody that would buy those if you put it on the Contributors BST and priced it right.I use exclusively Lab Blues in all of my razors. I do have a 250-pack of AccuTec AccuForge which are allegedly the same. Maybe it is psychological, but, they don't feel the same after three shaves.
Med Preps simply do not agree with my face. I haven’t gotten around to putting them on BST yet, but, I’m going tp sell 190-195 of them (unopened box of 100, plus the one I sampled from) in the near future.
What are they using? Mass produced aluminum spiral handled British Techs? Like how if an American soldier living today gets a Purple Heart, it is actually a Purple Heart that was made for the planned invasion of Japan in 1945? We have not YET depleted that lot of WW2-made Purple Hearts.
That is a good question.Just WHAT the heck are all these American hospitals putting these Med Preps in? What razor?
I threw away Med Preps. period.I use exclusively Lab Blues in all of my razors. I do have a 250-pack of AccuTec AccuForge which are allegedly the same. Maybe it is psychological, but, they don't feel the same after three shaves.
