What's new

Why are Dockers working for me?

I recently tried on several brands, cuts of Khakis, and ended up walking away with Dockers

I needed some casual shoes, and tried on brands way more known, expensive, but the Dockers won.

Even a pair of socks, Dockers were some of the few not made in China.

Anyone else a fan? Suggest another brand that you generally find working for you?

I'd have to agree. Found a pair last month that fit great and were marked down to $20. Once I went to the counter, they were only $12.

For that price they are fantastic.

It is funny you post this.
I have worn all of them myself over my years.
Bills/Brooks/Polo etc.
2 years ago I took a state department job in the Middle East, with a contractor.
And was advised to try them.
At 25 bucks and less, I can say they can take very, very frequent washing, and drying.
And they last.
I wear them more than any other in my life.
They are the best secret in the world!!

Nice day

I'm a fan of Dockers! I wear Docker shoes and socks as well. I've got stain and wrinkle resistant dress shirts from Dockers too.

I recently 're-discovered' Dockers as well. On a recent shopping trip I tried on several brands of pants and liked Dockers better than all the others. On that trip I only bought one pair but was so impressed that I returned to buy three more pair. Having owned several Dockers in the past I am not sure why I stopped wearing them but am happy they work for me now.

meh... One of Murphy's (yeah, that Murphy) Law's of Combat is, "If it's stupid but works, it ain't stupid."

if it's working for you, it works. from my perspective, unless it's bespoke, the only real difference is the name/logo (and associated price tag), and country of manufacture.

Started wearing Docker chinos in the 90s and never looked back. Have three pair of Docker deck shoes, too. They mostly get it right.

The shoes are my only problem with dockers, for some reason the back seam on my dockers oxfords decided to pull apart after only a month. Other than that great brand.
