Why all the Williams bashing?

OK, I get it. Some of you hate the new Williams, you would rather see Tallow as the first ingredient. Fine.

But do you need to muck up every single post on Williams with your trash talk? I realize you are doing it in jest and think it is all in good fun. But you sometimes make a game out of who can bash Williams first. It is realy kind of annoying.

We are here to learn and to help folks. When someone is asking a legitimate question about the product, I don't think that kind of talk is helpful. I think we are failing in the gentlemanly conduct department in this regard.

I like Williams, and it's always lathered quickly and easily for me, even as a brand new wetshaver using a bottom of the line Burma Shave brush. I think I may go buy a new puck today, as it's been a while. There. At least the 1st response to your thread wasn't a negative one!

I just find it a little off-putting, which is sad since I fell in love with this site because of how helpful everyone was. I read some of those threads and wonder if the OP feels a little stepped on.

Look, I don't have a problem with adding your disdain to an appropriate thread. Like if someone's post is "I tried Williams today and it was horrible." By all means jump on that bandwagon.

It is the thread jacking of positive Williaims posts and newbie inquiries that I cannot stand.

I understand your sentiments on this one. The funny thing though is that all the bashing peaked my curiousity about Williams; I would like to know what this is all about so when I come across a puck (not that much of a chance overhere) I will get it for sure.

I do enjoy reading the amazing poetic sparring but agree it mucks up the an op's thread. Perhaps a mod will take this idea under consideration!
