Who's got a rubber Marvy mug for their soap?

I just ordered a rubber Marvy mug to put some soap in, and I just realized how big this thing is according to the dimensions. Do any of you gents have one of these? How does it work? I'm wondering if I made a mistake here and should have gone with something a little smaller.

My 'big green mug' is probably the best shaving purchase I have made of all of my shaving purchases. While I don't put soap in it; it is an very important part of my shaving in the shower routine. While showering, I soak my brush in it. When I'm ready to lather my face and shave, I fill the mug with water, turn off the shower head to conserve water, then rinse my razor off between strokes in the mug.

I turn the shower head back on in between passes to rinse my face, fill the mug with fresh water, turn the head back of, relather, and do another pass. I waste no more water than shaving in the sink. The mug is virtually unbreakable and indestuctible and because it's rubber, it doesn't hurt the head of the razor banging it on the side during the rinse. Using this mug allows me to shave in the shower where the steam preps my beard better than getting out and drying off first, and my lather stays moist and hydrated. Also clean up is a non issue.

Love my Marvy Rubber Mug...

I have one I keep at the gym in my locker. I also have given my two oldest grandsons the big green mug for their first mugs. they are both still in high school and just learning to shave, so I have given each of them a brush, mug and Gillette DE's. The big green mugs are great mugs, especially for brothers who might knock them off the bathroom sink.

I have a Lesco cup which from the looks of both is identical to the Marvy cup.

I use it to soak my brush in when I travel (since it is unbreakable).

It is too deep for much else (well maybe coffee)

I have a rubber with the puck ring on the bottom and find it annoying. I use it for soaking the brush and storing and whiping up the lather between passes.

I replaced it with the one below, unbreakable and no ridge in the mug. Works like a charm.

I'll try and find the one with the ring on the bottom and post some side by sides later.

It's not as big as you think.

are we talking about the same mug? mine is marked "Large" on the bottom.

Here is a shot next to my White Marvy Barber mug that I use for camping/travel (no soap sing in bottom, but has 3 tiny dimples) as well as an OS mug for comparisson.

The Large Marvy could swallow both of them at the same time, it's so big.

Wow, that's huge! I wound up ordering a mug from Classic Shaving. I got the Hart resin shaving mug with the brush rest. The dimensions are just perfect for loading soap. The area where the soap sits is about the same diameter and depth of my Old Spice mug, but the flare will help keep proto-lather form spilling out over the side of the mug.
