Which Way Gets More Soap On Brush? Wetter Brush, Or Drier Brush?

As a budding 3017'er I would like the answer to this question as to efficiently demolish my soaps. I know you guys keeps spreadsheets!

i, personally, prefer drier brushes. This has been working for me amazingly and i find they load quicker. The fastest brush i load would be a Frank Shaving in 15 seconds this way and the amount of lather is fantastic.
However, YMMV. Good luck, gents.

Wet brush gets more soap faster, but it also starts lathering wet, which with almost all soaps makes a frothy, inferior lather. I load with a well shaken brush and if the soap starts to tug at brush hairs I rub a dab of water on it and continue.

I use a drier brush for hard soaps like DR Harris. Surprisingly, Cella works better for me if I leave the brush wetter. Oh, and I face lather and use a boar.

The brush needs to be just dry enough without being too dry.

I find it easier to add water as I go.

I follow the Italian Master Barbers' technique and use a wet brush approach with all my soaps. Sole exception are shaving sticks where I lightly sqeeze the knot.

When using a hard soap I usually shake most of the water out of my brush but put a little water on top of the puck while I shower to let it soften, and it works for me.
