Which strop should I get the Kanayama 2196 or 60000?

The Kanayama 2196 or 60000? My current strop is a three inch wide from star shaving.

About me: love to hone, own 20 straights, strop daily.

Other strop recommendations are welcomed?

No suede on the 2196. Great strop though.

Actually the the 3 has the suede and its one of the cheapest. I have a 3 and its a fine strop. The difference in price in Kanayama is the thickness and size of the leather but the surfaces are all the same on the finishing strop.

2196 has the canvas 2nd component, and is much thinner than the #3.
Also $60 more than the #3.

#3 has suede. I'm not familiar with the 60000.


My 2196 is relegated to travel status. #3 and my Tony Miller #2 are my daily strops.

One of Tony's specials prompted me to buy my 2nd TM.
