Hi all, I currently use a TI Le Dandy. My wife has offered to purchase me a new razor up to the value of £90 as a Father's Day and birthday gift in one.

I did see a nice Dovo Bismark 2 here

Any suggestions, bearing in mind I am still a beginner? Or anywhere with better pricing or that will hone it within the price?

I have a Bismarck, and I like. But I am not sure you can find one at your price level anymore.
May I suggest checking out the B/S/T located on this forum? Most will probably come shave ready, and you can sometimes score an excellent used razor.

I would suggest an antique razor as well, will probably be better quality and better looking for the $ than a new razor IMO, just as an example I traded for this one but the original B/S/T was asking $100

and payed about $50 for this, just to give you an idea of options and both came shave ready.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm not so keen on "used" razors.

I didn't notice the website I posted the link to was all out of stock, however I have done a quick search and found a few sites with the Dovo in stock.

Jarrod at TheSuperiorShave.com sells the plain vanilla version of the Bismarck and I believe he hones his razors before shipping but check on that before committing to a purchase.

They come honed from jarrod. Not sure of the currency conversion, but I really like the palisander on superior shave as well

As he is in the UK don't forget the 20% import VAT that will get charged once the package is here. That bumps the price up to 115quid.
