Which shaving cream Musgo, Omega or Speick??

I am looking to get yet another shaving cream but, I cant decide on which one to try first..Which one would you recommend, and please tell why you like it, thanks,

This is a very tough call. Each have their own distinctive merits and each would be great in a den of someone who like the idea of a lather rotation.

is there a particular reason you don't want to get more than one?

how do you like the Bigelow? knowing you have that will certainly cancel out the Omega option.

IMHO, Musgo is slicker and less dense than Speick, however i love them all and couldn't choose between the three.

i have all three and you literally can't go wrong with any of them. picking one, it would be speick. i believe it makes the best lather by a small margin and i prefer the smell slightly to the other two.
the scent is slightly spicy/slightly lavendar-y, clean, light but masculine.

also, when making superlather i've noticed speick seems to blend well with almost any other soap or cream and gives incredible shaves.

g'luck!

I can allready tell that I am going to go with Speick for my next cream... I have heard too many good things about it.

Gotta chime in here... I picked up the Speick cream today for the first time in weeks/months and now I remember why I put it down... I just can't stand the smell. Halfway through my shave, I lathered up a fresh scuttle bowl of Omega.
So there ARE some people who can't stand Speick. (Though I want to love it the way everyone else does!)
I vote Omega/Proraso/Bigelow... Preferably Proraso/Bigelow (I do find a slight difference from Omega, not sure if it's my imagination)

Put down the Speick, and back slowly away from it...

Musgo if the way to go; it contains lanolin and has always given me a terrific consistent shaving experience. Plus the old world barber shop scent is great.

OP if you would like a free sample of Musgo, pm me and I will send some your way.

That's the old stuff that carries the Lanolin right, adleast that's what everybody says....:bored:

o

I think Proraso is like Saint Charles who makes soaps for other labels but uses their special ingredient for that label. Gentlemen's Best is made by SCS but it is different in a few ways and magnificent. It is very common. Omega has a twist to their process.

Proraso isn't the exact same than Omega.

Proraso has more menthol.

I didn't try the 3 creams, I only tried Musgo cream, Omega cream and Speick shave stick.

Out of the 3? Omega no questions. All 3 are great performers. Scent-wise? Omega is the best!

I have all three, and they're all worthwhile. But the choice must be done according to what you want from a cream.

Omega: easy to lather and refreshing;
Speick: protective and smooth;
Musgo Real: slick and cushiony lather.

If I had to choose I would take Musgo in priority. Besides what I've mentioned it's in IMHO the best scent.

musgo is a wonderful shaving cream but not every face can handle the lanolin which can cause breakouts.

if you're prone to acne, you may want to stick with speick, which is an awesome cream in its own right

I can only comment on the Musgo Real, since that's the only one I've tried. The Spieck is coming up on the wish list. I'm not interested in getting any Omega.

Musgo is great cream for warm weather. It gives a nice smooth shave, and the scent is mild and unique. MR and MWF mixed together make a great superlather.

I've found that MR is a very thirsty cream, so add a lot more water than you normally would. I like a sloppy-wet lather no matter what brand I'm using, and MR lends itself well to this.

Added Bonus: The lanolin in MR will break in a new (or recently cleaned) badger brush in a hurry, giving it a nice soft feel. Often, I will mix up a lather of MR to condition the brush, even if I'm not intending to shave with it right then and there.

Musgo does give a good shave, but the lanolin causes my skin to break out.

The Speick cream is very good. If Omega is near the same quality as Proraso then it is excellent stuff.
