Which semogue brush is stiffest?

Hey all,

I have a semogue 1305 and absolutely LOVE it. I face lather soaps exclusively (just had my first shave with MWF and all I can say is wow!). That being said, after the 1305 was broken in, I'm starting to think I need a stiffer brush.

Which one of the semogue lines has a shorter loft than the 1305?

The 1520 is a stiff little brush. Excellent when broken in.

The 620. It has the same knot as the 1520, different handle. Mine took a while to break in, at least double the shaves that my 1305 took.

Yep. Just look 'em up on Vintage Scent, they'll be the last brushes 22x50mm knot. Just pick which handle you like.

If you want a stiff brush you picked the right one. I have 5 semogues and the 620 is definitely the stiffest and personally it might be my favorite (haven't tried my new SOC yet so that could change). Just be sure to give this brush plenty of time to break in as it takes awhile - longer than any of my other semogues. It will probably never get to the level of softness as the others, but that is why I like it cause it is a little different. Short and scrubby.

The SOC with a double looped elastic hair tie (the thick ones) wrapped around the base of the knot should be awesome. I do the same with my LE 09, and love the way it feels face lathering.
