Which low-priced cream?

I'm looking for a tube of cream to fill out an order I'm placing with a particular vendor (two Semogue boar brushes). The choice is limited to creams available from that vendor at a certain price point.

The choices are (in no particular order):
Proraso Green
Speick
Erasmic
Gillette Menthol
Gilette Sensitive
Ingram
Omega
RazoRock Cacao

At the moment I have the Speick stick as my go to software. I also have samplers from Trumpers and TOBS which I'll work through in due course. The only thing other than the Speick I've tried so far is Trumpers Almond which didn't work well on its own (probably user error more than anything) but did an admirable job as as part of an uberlather. I'm interesting in people's opinions on all of the above.

Thanks in advance.

The answer has to be Proraso!! Every wet shaver needs to try Proraso. It's pretty much the baseline against which everything else is measured!!

The newest formulation of it, is even said to be vastly superior to the old formula (an total oddity, as reformulation usually ruins a product!!)

If you don't mind the scent, Palmolive shave cream that Coles, Woolies, Priceline, etc. sells, is actually one of the best bang for the buck down under! If you're in Melbourne, Mediterranean Wholesalers is the cheapest for Proraso products!

I would take the Proraso every time. I had a bad reaction to Razorock Cacao, but they make many flavors and mounds of lather. I'm not sure you can remain on this list without some Proraso in your den. :biggrin1:

I just picked up my first tube of Proraso cream and a bottle of the AS splash yesterday. After using them once, I'm hooked! Amazing shave!

I can't speak for any of the other creams, but I just had my first ever shave with Proraso this morning and it was amazing. I am officially hooked on it now.

I know this is a bit OT, but since I never used Proraso and everyone is recommending it so much, are soap and cream comparably / equally good?

:) Erik
