Which cream for very sensitive skin?

As sibling question to "Which soap for very sensitive skin?", I have some Italian stuff that I'd like to trade, but which cream?

There is only one rule that answers should follow: the cream should indicate explicitly that is for sensitive skin or should be tested by who has parfum allergic.

Thank you for your answers.

Two that come to mind are AOS unscented cream and T&H Ultimate Comfort. Both are excellent creams, IMO.

Florena Sensitive (pretty sure Superlather has it)

There isn't a universal answer that will identify all the creams that will work for you and those that won't. I have very sensitive skin, and have had to go through trial and error to identify those that work and those that don't. Everyone's face is different. Some are fortunate to not have to worry about sensitivity. Others are sensitive to certain ingredients, including some ingredients that are in products that are supposed to be good for sensitive skin.

T&H Ultimate Comfort causes a burning sensation on my face, I think because it has lavender oil in it. AoS Unscented works great for me, as does Proraso Ultrasensitive. So does Speick and Tabac, and Queen Charlotte Unscented and Saint Charles Shave Unscented, both sold by boutique vendors here on B&B. I've also discovered that using hot water to wash my face before shaving and during shaving makes my face more sensitive. Using only luke warm water has eliminated a lot of sensitivity.

It's probably going to be an individual thing. I had a rose cream that gave me a slight tingling or burning, yet when I gave it to a friend with sensitive skin whose very selective, he had no problems with it.

I just picked up a tube of Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn shave cream. The box says 99.9% natural ingredients. It does have a fruit fragrance (parfum), but it's very light. Their web site says it's for all skin types. They also make an Aloe Vera shave cream for sensitive skin.

If you can find it, try the sensitive skin version of La Toja (La Toja Piel Sensible). It lathers up beautifully and is very mild.

The ONLY shave cream that doesn't irritate my face is Alba Botanica/Trader Joe's Unscented. As for shave oils, I recently tried Oliveology and it works too.

You may want to try some un-scented products; in my experience it's usually the fragrance that causes the issue for people with overly sensitive skin.

+1 La Toja Sensitive

Alternate cream Arko Extra Sensitive with Lavender oil &Aloe Vera is non scented, but has one paraben ingredient (methylparaben) listed near the end (not sure how rigid your no paraben rule is, but this cream is fantastic and I'm normally a soap man (Tabac Rules:thumbup:)

I have had good luck with TOBS Lavender, Castle Forbes Lavender, TOBS Jermyn St Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort and their 1805.
