Which blade to buy

Hello everyone, I'm new to using a double-edged razor and I wonder if anybody could give me an idea of a very good blade to use. I have tried a few different blades but they all seem to only be good for one shave. Thank you, Al

Welcome to B&B! Well you might try a blade sampler from some of the fine B&B vendors for a start. My own preferences are(ymmv)--Perma-Sharp, Voskhod, Polsilver Super Iriidiums, Feathers, Crystals, Ladas. Enjoy !

People will say buy a sample pack, but to be honest if you can't find a blade you like out of the following then something really is up:

Feather
Personna Platinum Chrome
Astra Superior Platinum
Polsilver Super Iridium

Substitute the Personna Platinum Chrome for Personna Lab Blue, and I would agree with the above. IMO, the Lab blue are a far better blade at about the same price point. AND, made here in the USA (making them an even better buy, honestly). Or, maybe get both! We all like different blades, but this is a good start.
