Where to buy watches?

The holiday season is slowly creeping up, and I was thinking of getting a new watch. I've only owned one "nice" watch - $60 something or other from Kohl's. It's several years old, and the band doesn't fit me very well (the way the links are, it's either too big or too small). So I'm looking for something new that will last a few years and can hold up well.

I'm curious if you guys know of a store where I can look at a wide variety of watches (preferably with a selection under $100), and can get a good value and quality? Having an employee there that knows what he is talking about is, of course, always helpful. Or is going to department stores like Kohl's and JCPenny the best option I have?

Pawn shops and antique stores have some nice older stuff I find.

Sam's and Costco both have a pretty nice selection here. Wenger, Bulova, Seiko, Citizen and others. Many are under $200, some under $100. Don't expect to find an employee that knows anything about the products though.
If there's a TimeFactory in a mall near you, you're probably going to find someone that's familar with what they have in the store and a large selection of Timex and Timex made watches (Nautica, etc.). Most will be under $100.

TJ Maxx often has a decent selection of watches in that price range as well.

Here are many more "deal-a-day" watch sites (chronoshark included) to check out. The blingdaily site often has Maurice Lacroix watches discounted from around $7,500 retail down to around $1,200 and less, as one example. The times shown are the times the deals end each day.
