where to buy good brushes in Seattle

I'd like to gift a shaving brush to my husband for Christmas, and have read a lot of good things about the Simpson best badger line (eg. Commodores). Are there any locale retailers in the Seattle area that carry Simpson? I'd like to avoid paying overnight shipping if possible... I know, I should have shopped sooner!

If Simpson isn't available, would it be best to pay the shipping costs for a Simpson brush or are there good quality alternative brushes available locally?

I'm down in Portland but travel to Seattle fairly frequently. I'm not aware of any Brick and Mortar stores up there that sell Simpson Brushes. Best bet is going to be someplace like West Coast Shaving or Royalshave on the Web - both offer free shipping depending on how large your order is. I have a Duke 3 in best that I purchased from WCS - great all around brush!!

Thanks Unadan. From what I've been reading, it's such a personal preference that I'm not really sure what to get but I have heard a lot of good things about Duke 2 and 3s. Just read a thread about VBs here that seem like a tremendous deal... I'm thinking that I may just order one of those! I'm really glad I found this site as there is so much more available that sounds much better than the Parkers I almost purchased on Amazon last night. I'll definitely be suggesting this site to my husband. :001_cool:
