Where is the best place in Las Vegas to get a Shave?

Title says it all. I remember reading a few threads a while back about this (including one from Mantic), but as I understand it things there change so often they may not be the same.

I'll go with AOS at the mall between the Excalibur and the Luxor. It's been several years, but it was much more comfortable than the shave I got at T&H which was at Cesar's Forum at the time.

I was under the impression that AOS didn't necessarily give a straight shave? I have never gotten one and am excited to maybe do it.

This is a brilliant motivation, unless it's already been done, to start a new thread regarding... what members believe to be the best barber(s) in any given major city i.e. New York, London, Paris and Solihull! :)

When I was there, it was a shavette shave. No one, as far as I know, gives a true straight shave due to health regs .

That sounds fine to me, I just thought I had read on here somewhere it was like a Mach3 shave or something.

I've had barber shaves at AOS in Mandalay Bay (twice), Truefitt & Hill in Mirage, and one in Wynn. They've all been excellent but I would have to say the AOS shaves were the best of the bunch. YMMV of course.

The AOS store is actually between the Luxor and Mandalay Bay (not Excalibur and Luxor). It's a shopping area called Mandalay Place, I think.
The straight shave I had at an AOS store in the LA area was with a disposable straight (shavette type, not sure which brand) and he also used one of the vibrating cartridge razors (Mach whatever) to augment. The barber was quite good--17 years experience, dad was a barber, etc. About as close as one of my good shaves. Not the best, but very good.
I got the regular (not Royal) shave. I didn't think what came with the Royal shave was worth the extra money.
I stuck my head into the T&H in the Mirage--it's inside a beauty salon and quite hard to find. Just a little cubbyhole. I'd have to say it's the barber, not the place you get the shave, that counts. Kind of like saying should I go to Supercuts or Fantastic Sam's--it totally depends on the person who cuts your hair.

So, I forgot to come back here and report my findings. I got a "Royal Shave" the AOS in Mandalay Place. I tried to book just the "Traditional Shave" but because I have a Van Dyke that I did not want shaved off I was required to book the Royal. It was very relaxing and I had no problems while I was getting it done, but later on during the day my face did not appreciate it. Still I am glad I did it, and might try it again somewhere else in the future.
