Where could I find a replacement Monteverde Artista Crystal Cap?

Hello everyone.

I have sort of a sad story.

I recently filled my Monteverde Artista Crystal and didn't wipe the nib off well enough. A drop of ink fell into the cap and somehow got between the two parts that make up the cap that are glued together. I tried to wash it out, but it never completely came out and left a blue ring around the inside of the cap. I got this super bright idea:huh: of trying to take the cap apart to clean it. In the process, it got a little banged up, and I couldn't even get it apart.

The pen is perfect except for the cap being a little dinged and having a pale blue ring around it. It completely ruins such a beautiful demonstrator. Seeing that little blue ring when I'm using red ink makes my ocd go wild lol

It's been a long time since I ordered it, so the vendor couldn't help. I emailed Monteverde and they basically don't care because they never responded to any of my emails.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I could possibly find a replacement cap without buying a whole new pen?

Thanks for your time. Hope you're all enjoying your pens

My pelikan had that from noodlers ink I had to soak it to fix it

But you can always hit up MVs website and drop their customer service and email

It may be Monteverde's email is poorly monitored and you'd have better success contacting the parent company -- Yafa.

I would suggest that if your OCD goes wild over this, demonstrator pens are likely not for you. It's for better or worse a fact of life for such a pen. If you want something with clear parts but a cap that won't drive you crazy, there is a black and clear version of the TWSBI mini that may be for you.
