Where can I purchase Taylor or Truefitt?

I was told Truefitt was sold at Nordstroms, but it turns out they stopped selling it. Before I order online... are there any stores that sell either Taylor or Truefitt?

the online vendors if you do decide to go that route, are fabulous. classicshaving and vintagesblades are ones that i have used before.

If you're near Dallas (Highland Park), there is a store called Lafco New York in the Highland Park Village. They carry Musgo Real. That is great stuff! Some people don't care for the scent, but, to me, it's fantastic.

If you're near the airport (DFW), there is a store called German Deli. They have Speick cream/sticks and Nivea and Palmolive (I think) shave stuff. They also have some good aftershave lotions (e.g Speick, 4711). Their prices are a bit higher than what you can find online, but I like being able to pick stuff up locally.

Hope this helps.

I ended up going to Bath & Body Works to pick up C.O. Bigelow Premium Shave Foam (by Proraso) for $10. I'm very impressed, and it's now the only shaving cream on my shelf.

I also bought the tube of cream for $5, but haven't tried it yet. Anyone tried both?

The foam actually works better than the Art of Shaving cream that I've used previously. That might have something to do with fragrances, since I have very sensitive skin, and I was using their lavender cream (before they came out with unscented).

I still want to give Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort a shot, but for $10 I don't see C.O. Bigelow being replaced anytime soon.

Any ideas for a pre-shave oil and after-shave balm? Balm isn't a huge deal, since the Art of Shaving balm lasts forever... but it would be nice to have something that's easily available, rather than having to drive to the one store that's 30 minutes away.

I haven't tried the foam, but the Proraso cream is a wonderful product and very popular here. The menthol makes it especially nice for warm weather, or if you are a menthol junkie :001_cool:

If you want something lightly scented, you may want to check your local drug store for the Real Shaving Company creams. While I have not personally tried them, they have a good reputation, and they also make the TOBS creams which are terrific.

For a balm, Nivea Extra Soothing is everywhere and is a quality product.

And on T&H... if you go to their website, you can order a sample pack of their creams + lotions for not too much money.

+1 on the Speick if you can get it locally. About $5 to $8 a tube for the cream. It is great stuff.

Sharla's in McKinney sells T&H products (at least their web site says they still do), if you ever get up that way. The 20% off deal at T&H's web site might be the better deal.

You can't go wrong with the Bigelow/Proraso, though. :thumbup1:
