When and Why did the Rubberset Brush Co. go under?

Just curious. They seemed to put out a lot of brushes in their day. Maybe the popularity of canned goo had something to do with it?

They sure made some nice brushes.

Rubberset is still in business (paint brushes and rollers) and has been for the last 125 years. They just stopped making shaving brushes. I don't know when, but obviously because it became unprofitable and probably due to the proliferation canned goo.
