What's Your Thoughts on Brilliantine?

Hi guys,

I recently got my hair coiffed at the barber. He also straitened it a bit so it could be styled (I'm an Afro-American with thick and naturally super curly hair). He also recommend I try Brilliantine to style. The stuff he used at the shop made my hair look amazing right out of the chair! Sadly he didn't have any for retail.

Now I'm considering buying a tub for my own use. Only downside I can remember from the one he gave me was the smell (don't know what scent they used but it just smelled like grease and totally not pleasant for long periods of time).

Anyone an avid fan of Brilliantine? What do you like/hate about it? All feedback greatly welcomed!

Unacceptably Lasering Chicken Giblets?
I remember my grandfather using Tres Flores and Jockey Club.
I never used it and don’t have enough hair anymore.
Good luck!

Great stuff.....

Have used Yardley in the past. The smell is amazing, not old woman lavender, more "Ooooo, thats nice" lavender. This is a lite brilliantine that goes on really well. One of the guys at work put me onto it a few years back.
