Try citric acid from the canning section of the market, or a jug of distilled water, you don't need a lot.

OK, but it really only takes a small cereal bowl of water, just to soak the brush and add water to the lather. Not too bad. My water is not that hard here, fortunately. Ohio, Michigan, that's another story.

Yeah I know I could I do find many work very well with the hard water and sure they could work a touch better with softer but do not want a extra bowl or extra jug etc... I do appreciate the thoughts
