This will probably get me shunned, but I used cheap hair conditioner. I started using hair conditioner, because I was on a trip and my shaving cream can stopped working. I soon discovered that I actually preferred it, because I do not have lather covering up my skin, so I can see exactly where my blade is going to go.

I have found that the cheap typically works best because the cheap stuff makes the hair soft whereas a lot of expensive hair conditioners strengthen the hair.
