What's your soap for today?

Penhaligons Lords (the old tallow formula). My first shave with this vintage soap and it was excellent! It was still in its cellophane wrapper which had kept the Lords scent in (now called Douro) and the lather built easily and was very slick.

The first time I used it, I struggled to build a good lather (my fault, not the soap’s). But I still ended up with an incredible shave with great post shave face feel. The smell of this soap is almost intoxicating. Smells like a pear flavored honeycomb or something. Easily one of the best smelling soaps I’ve tried so far.
2nd time using it tonight, I was determined to figure this soap out and build a good lather, and I did. This stuff is fantastic!
