What's your go to soap when trying a new razor?

Use soap that works best for you, that always no matter what gives you good latheh
My soap that does that for me is Tabac

Whatever soap you have that works best for you. One you already know you can get a good lather from, has good protection, and good slickness. Don't try anything new (this goes for blades, too; use a blade that you know works for you).

For me, a new razor means Williams Mug Soap, an old Derby Extra blade, Semogue 830, Nivea PSB. That's my standard test bed. If I'm trying out anything other than a new razor, I throw a BET in as the razor.
