Wanted to create a poll for favorite shaving soap/cream. I know there are hundreds on the market. So I can only put the more popular brands on the list. So, if you select Castle Forbes, it would cover all CF shaving soaps and creams. And if you can say why it's your favorite (sent, performance, price). Lastly if you have anything special that may affect your choice (ie you have sensitive skin).

I've been on a Musgo Real kick as of late. My hope is to match some of the Key Ingredients of the top brands.

I didn't vote because I'm a noob and have only tried a couple on the list. But if I would vote it would be Speick (based on my very small sample size).

Creams: Truefitt & Hill cream (any scent) is my tops, followed closely by Trumpers coconut oil cream (the rest are.... meh)

Soaps: MWF, Arko, Tabac, P.160 (in that order of preference)

Arko. Works great and is dirt cheap. Yeah, it's just kind of a generic soap scent. But that's largely irrelevant for me.

Other...

...But, it also depends on the day, however two of my favourites: MWF/Kent and also C&E are not listed... but Arko is also a worker (Especially for the low cost!)

(I must add a disclaimer to say I've not tried every brand on the list...

...Yet)

I've only use 8 of the listed items and if I voted it would be a toss up between "other" Santa Maria Novella and Art of Shaving.

Another problem with this poll is lumping soaps and creams together. Just because one maker produces a nice cream it doesn't mean that they make an equal soap counterpart. Art of Shaving makes both very well, but Trumper creams are thought to be better than their soap. I believe TOBS also makes better creams than soaps.

I'm just beginning my soap & cream AD journey, but AoS Sandalwood cream will have to be the benchmark. Just a slight dip into the jar, no twirling, and I get a ton of lather, aromatic, cushioning, slick, the whole package.

As far as creams go,my favorites are Proraso and Nivea Mild.As for soaps,I don't know but for some reason I seem to stick to VDH Deluxe. It's been working for me for awhile already.Plus,it's very affordable, has a scent I can tolerate and If I run out,I can take a trip to Wally World and buy it without having to wait for shipping.I would like to try more soaps though since I haven't tried many.
