First breakfast was two slices of homemade whole-grain toast, cultured home-churned butter, honey from a neighbour's hive. An hour later second breakfast was some of Mrs. Hippie's breakfast sausage with scrambled eggs, and wouldn't you know it: more toast. Coffee and morning pills with the first, buttermilk with the second.
Mealtimes dictated by dosing schedules are a real PITA and I do not mean "pocket bread."
The usual, toasted whole wheat bread loaded with pecans, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a bit of molasses, topped with avocado, harissa, lemon juice, and flake salt, along with a pot of French roast, black.
In keeping with the October season and the fact it rained for a few minutes last night here in the Ranch, I made pumpkin spice pancakes from scratch this morning.
