What's new

What's wrong with me?

I've had 3 shaves with my first razor a Merkur #42 and I can't wait for my next shave and I ordered a E.J. Chatsworth Barley. I'm telling you: "I've lost it for sure this time."

Actually I think you are progressing along nicely, I am in the process on trying to acquire enough shaving soap and cream to last the rest of my life :scared:

I noticed in your signature you said you have just one DE, a Merkur 33c. Don't you think that's kind of cruel? I felt mean doing that to my 33c, so I gave him a friend ('64 Gillette SS). I suggest you do the same immediately! :w00t:

Wow, a Chatworth Barley was a big jump for a second razor. I just recently got one. Absolutely gorgeous razor, but totally unlike any of the others I regularly use. Being used to short-handled, light razors like SS, Tech, HD and adjustables, I found the Barley smooth but very handle heavy. It feels so smooth, it gets away from you. I did irritate my neck and nick my chin on the first shave. It's not as forgiving as a SS, but it gives a much closer shave. It's next up in my rotation. I have to remember to take it a bit slower this time.

Everything is going exactly as I had foreseen.
