Whats the purpose of buying MULTIPLE DE razors?

There has to be a purpose for the things I buy?

My answer is, "Shiny, shiny".

Depends on who you ask. Some enjoy the variety. Some are on the quest to find the perfect DE for them. Some are collectors...

I suspect that a lot of guys start out thinking that they will automatically achieve BBS if they just find the correct combination of hardware and software, so keep buying both. Then they figure out that it's 90% technique with whatever gear they happen to have.

As for me, I have multiple razors because I bid on a few lots of multiple razors at an online auction site. I was the winning bidder on enough of them that I can tell you that most models of Gillette Super Speed razors shave about the same.
