What's the oldest American Aftershave?

I read a post on another site (not shaving-related) where someone asked this. It appears that Aqua Velva dates back to 1929 (?) and Old Spice dates back to the late '30s (?). I looked at the Pinaud entry in the Wiki and it looks like Pinaud started to have a big presence in the US in 1920 (?).

Does anyone know if there were other, older brands, that no longer exist or am I missing a brand that goes back further and is still in existence?

Caswell and Massey products go back to, at least, the 1780's maybe earlier.

I would suggest that one of the earliest recognizable A/S brands would probably be Florida Water, particularly the Murray and Lanman.

others would include:

Lentheric, and Tawn from the 1920's on and
Seaforth, MacGregor and Stag from the 1930/40''s.

Pinaud goes back into the 1800's as well. Eau de Quinine is around 1898 and Lilac Vegetal is even earlier. I recall reading somewhere else that Pinaud Bay Rum was about 1900, Eau de Portugal 1928 and Clubman in the 30's..

That's a nice long run--and we're still able to enjoy these products. Sure they've changed some but its nice to know they're still around. If the Pinaud line, AV, Skin Bracer and even the reformulated Old Spice are still in production--they've achieved classic status.
