What's The Furthest You Have Ever Sent A Letter

So I have sent letters into the States, but now im sending one to Mexico, so thats the furthest, but then I have one to send to Dublin, so now THAT will be my furthest, but THEN i have to send one to Dubai EAU and that will BY FAR be the furthest I have sent a letter. Its kind of cool to have those three on board since they will be very different cultures then my own, Well the Dublin one will be close... but the other two will be very very different

Does anyone exchange from far off lands and have unique experiences ?

Australia!

For some reason I enjoy applying the big round international global stamps and the airmail sticker to envelopes.

I send cards home to New Zealand a fair bit.
It takes the same time as sending one to the UK or the US.
James you might want to send your letter to Dubai in UAE:thumbup1:
EAU might not get there

Santa Claus at the north pole and Kandahar, Afghanistan via the CFPO in Bellville On would be the farthest.

I sent a BST to Australia, and I also sent a ink sample PIF to the Netherlands. Those are the longest 2 so far.

When I was an active seller on eBay (LP record albums, mostly), I was receiving payments and shipping packages all over the world...Europe, Japan, China, Russia, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Israel, Australia, etc., etc. I just gave away a big bag full of foreign postage stamps to a neighbor kid for her collection.

I am a stamp Collector, So I have Exchanged Little letters And Stamps To Several Countries.
I Would Say Algeria, and Korea Are The Farthest.

Its amazing how small a stamp can make the world...

Its funny how electronic communication has changed letter writing, but at the same time made people you never would have had the chance to write to accessible as well

There is even a postcard exchange website where you can find random people to exchange with without sending addresses that's pretty neat

Very true. I have closer friends in far away places than I do here. Whether stamps, pocket knives or safety razors; the Internet has changed the way I write and how I think. Further on, I am also among the ranks of ex-eBayers. PayPal is good yeah, but I much prefer doing business and making friends on the B/S/T forums.

My son has sent one to the north pole... buuuuut it's actually stowed away in his keepsakes box. As a kid, I had a pen pal whose family was a missionary to some Scandinavian country. Can't remember which.

I have old friends in Christchurch, New Zealand. Don't think you can get much further than from the UK to New Zealand!

I had a pen-pal in Glasgow when I was 12, quite fun and we would exchange stamps. I've recently sent and received letters to Kampala and Vienna.
