What's the best way to open a tuck of blades?

I am getting along just fine with my zamak tuck-opener thank you very much. I prefer the extra weight over aluminum, the chrome is excellent; much preferred over anodized aluminum. Plus, if properly cared for it will last a lifetime and 1/3. YMMV.

Yeah why can’t every manufacturer make a box with a proper flap like that? Would avoid untold misery.

I have found that when I sharpen my baby buck on a coticule that it will very nicely slice open the opposite end of the tuck with absolutely no damage to the packaging at all!!!

I have a box like these that I keep my tucks in. No idea where it came from. I might have made it? But it was not made for tucks, I don't think.

Most of my blades are in dispensers but for the few in tucks, I open it carefully at the top flap, not at the slit, and close it back up with a tiny strip of a removable tape like painters or drafting.

Another angle on the tuck opening topic -

Derby Premium blades come in a plastic holder that is wrapped in clear cellophane with a thin band that goes around one end that is supposed to help you unwrap it. Like on a pack of playing cards or some candies. I wind up scratching away at where the band seems to end and nothing happens and then have to go get a tool of some kind to slip into the folds of the cellophane.

I've never been able to break into that kind of package....
