What's on your work bench right now?

"Look what I found"
I just received what has to be my oldest razor to date. WARRANTED TO SHAVE WELL on spine face and PATENT TEMPERED STEEL on fat rusty tang. It actually seems in restorable condition but going to be a pretty decent challenge. Any one know about this old dog?

Thanks, seems really similar to some Lord & Harvey razors from that time in Sheffield. Ive never tried fixing one up this old. The horn scales amazingly seem pretty solid too.

Finished this Scargill Stub Tail. Thinned the scales till they started to show translucency. A few last dry fits to get the shape down and tweak the wedge. Kept the scales mostly straight but with a slight radius at the wedge and pin. Put all together with brass pins with no washers. Not bad for my first restro in a few years. Did not lose my touch

The beetles were hungry on this one. A SR from J. Nowill & Sons with the Krosskeys Trademark. Blade is a heavy wedge with a French style tip. Using streaked horn with the original lead wedge. All ready to go to work

Started the next one on this cold, snowy day. I'd better knock it off, or my winter stuff will be done before Christmas!

This one is Birdseye Maple, Snakewood and resinated cactus. Both pieces of Snakewood split but we'll see how she finishes. It is, after all, never perfect with me! Final success always comes down to degree of recovery.
