I travel light. One Schick Hydro 3 cartridge razor and a travel sized can of Edge gel. I save the joy of DE shaving for home.

When I’m flying I do kind of the same thing. In my carry-on bag I take a vintage Aramis that takes Gillette Trac II carts and a bottle of Lucky Tiger liquid cream shave.

The mirror is a clever idea. I take for granted that I’ll just have a mirror on the wall when I’m shaving. You never know.

Well on one hand you can put it were there is a good light source - not always the bathroom.
Or you can put it into the shower if you are inclined to do so and it won’t fog up.

AH, thanks for reminding me of pre-pandemic days when I traveled a fair bit!!

After about 3 MM in the air, I evolved into a ‘one bag’ (carry-on only) guy. My kit is very light:
Lord L6 razor
Blades mailed to hotel (or picked up on site)
Simpsons Wee Scot (in a pill container from the pharmacy)
La Toja stick
Small container of AS

Works for me! :a29:

Mine is simple as well- a Trac II razor; Simpsons Classic 1 synthetic brush; DR Harris soap stick; currently two small samples of Myrsol after shaves, and a small tube of moisturizer.

I used to travel 10 or more times a year for work and holidays... but I haven't used my travel kit since last Christmas.

I haven’t travelled this year and am mostly SR shaving. I imagine when the opportunity comes I will pack my Gillette Travel Tech, Speick and Arko sticks and diminutive Col. Conk boar brush. Figure I’ll leave the straights at home and embrace the change. Seems practical. Plus, I made a case for the Tech so I figure I need to test it all out.

Being a minimalist, I keep it simple.
For travel by car:
Arko, brush, razor, Nivea AS.

By plane I usually use BiC plastic disposable and some hair conditioner and soap, Nivea AS

I've carried a minimalist shave kit for several years now. Basically the same setup that I described in the thread about travel kits from last February:

At the moment, it contains...

Razor: Maggard V3 head (titanium-anodized) + MR11 handle (anodized blue)
Brush: Maggard 18mm Timberwolf synthetic, Travel Size
Blades: Viking's Sword (goes in a checked bag if flying)
Soap: Vitos Classic (in the little screw-top jar)
ASB: Nivea Sensitive (reusing the Marcelle travel-size tube)
Lotion: Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing (reusing the Dove travel-size tube)
Extra: Styptic pencil

Other blades (Gillette Perma-Sharp Super, Tatra Platinum) and soaps (Nivea Sensitive, Gillette Pure) get rotated in and out. Also, I usually wrap things like the razor head and handle in tissue for extra cushioning.

The case used to hold a Bayer glucometer (for testing blood sugar). I'm not diabetic, but I have family members who are. It's made of nylon and measures 13.9 cm x 10.0 cm x 2.5 cm (5.5" x 4" x 1"). Once zipped up, I can squish it slightly to fit in the breast pocket of my shirt or jacket, if necessary. Otherwise, it takes up minimal space in my carry-on.

I use the Maxpediton Tactical Toiletry Bag. I rotate the razor... nothing too expensive in case it gets lost. Usually a DE89 or a user grade vintage Gillette. I been rotating the Timeless Aluminum razor into the kit these days. I gravitate to using shave sticks on the road. Arko, La Toja, or some other stick. I have bunch of them. Never use sticks at home. I rotate brushes between a L’Occitaine Plisson and a Razorock Bruce. I use PAA Star Jelly Planet 9 for aftershave. I never use gels at home, but like them on the road. I bring a couple of tucks of blades. And I’m good to go.
