What’s in your Shave Den?

Wait I thought you didn't lather your creams?!

Also find it humorous that your profile picture fits every post you make😂

My pfp is basically what I have and this is where they're stored. I like staying compact so I'm not buying anything until I'm done with what I got.

Oh, I have brushes, sure. But they are seldom used.

First shave den thread I stumbled upon to post a pic of my son’s den in his new apartment. Cade in the mug. 7EA5385E-D2EB-435B-B8D4-065A9559497F.jpeg

Although I've been a member here for a while, I've only recently started to fill out my den.

Out of curiosity, fellas with the multiple razors and brushes, how often are they all in the rotation? Are they all different enough to fill a niche, like in a toolbox? Or is it the collecting?

I'm mostly asking to try to gauge how much I can get away with from Mrs. Rookie.

I can’t speak for people with tons of stuff but the only razor of my 3 that I don’t use regularly is my Parker because I just don’t really like how it shaves compared to my other 2 (it was one of the first ones I ever got). As far as my brushes, not sure they have a niche in my mind unless I’m trying to use a hard soap but it’s kinda just whatever one I feel like using but I use all 3 of them (soon to be all 4).

Toothpaste jar is from about 1880. The cut glass thingy behind it holds my alum block, which I hardly ever use.

The scuttle is a Crabtree & Evelyn Limited Edition. The soap in the scuttle is the Mitchells' Wool-Fat soap. The jar itself is actually empty, but I keep it because I like how it looks. In the future, I will fill it with shaving cream.

Out of curiosity, fellas with the multiple razors and brushes, how often are they all in the rotation? Are they all different enough to fill a niche, like in a toolbox? Or is it the collecting?

I'm mostly asking to try to gauge how much I can get away with from Mrs. Rookie.
I'm pretty sure you could get away with about a second or third razor, a couple of modest soaps like Prorazo and Colonel Conk, and a few shave brushes. And if the wife complains, just look at her shoe collection or other beauty hoard and give the old "you can have this much but I can't with shave gear?" routine.

Razors:
Wolfman dual gap SB 1.15/1.05
Charcoal Goods SB level 2 stainless X3 (one gen 1, two gen two)
Karve SB C stainless X2

Charcoal Goods Stinger stainless
Weber Bulldog
Weber Classic
Ikon Tuckaway

Blades:
Gillette Nacet X200
Gillette Rubie X200

Brushes:

WSP Au Naturel
Soap Commander Integrity
Mike's unscented
Stirling Sheep

Bowls:

Well, there is beard care products as well. I do so love sample packs, and that shows in oils and balms and waxes. I also know she'll put up with anything that comes from an antique store if I'm willing to polish it up and use it. And that's been fun.
