What's new

What's Happened to Corey's Shaveblog?

according to the internet, Shaveblog no longer exists. there's no announcement page or anything; it just takes me to the stupid yahoo "are you sure you're not looking for one of these sites that aren't in your Favorites?" page.

Wow! Are you saying he thinks he's it and has no wit?

I just got tired of reading in his blog about how poorly he thought of the "shave geeks" in the "shave geek forums", and how he was far above it all.
The shave geeks in the shave geek forums is us, and it us us that put him on the map.
Not asking for gratitude, but don't talk down to people on a shaving forum as if they are all idiots and don't know how to load a razor.
Some of his entries were down right cruel and inhospitable.
Sure, sometimes the newbie questions can be incredibly simplistic - "How do I apply after shave" or "How do I splash water on my face", but if the guy knew, he wouldn't ask.
Make them feel stupid about asking a simple question, what are the odds that they'll follow up with an important one?

Maybe he has moved on to blog about Massengill Douches.

:lol::lol::lol:

Corey was a member of the old MS forums. He learned his craft from the gents on that forum. Luckily for him he was a reporter and had connections with the networks. He was able to make a piece on his new learned hobby. He was once a newbie but showed no respect to newbies. Go figure.

I'm shocked, shocked to find that in the testosterone laden world of shave geekdom, some people behave like testosterone laden shave geeks.

Hey, watchoo lookin' at me for?

Well, anybody who puts the wet shaving idea in front of a mass audience has done some good. Good luck to him.

I think his TV gig did great things to resurrect wet shaving, and I am thankful to him for that.
I'm just saying that his blog was very critical of the base he came from.
Who was reading his blog? The very geeks he was criticizing in his blog.

Okay, go pee on his desk. That will show him.

I love those direct methods. If he did not expect that, he was just not thinking.

i was browsing it a few days ago.

So was I, but I can't get on now. So either Shaveblog is no more, or the server of his blog site is down. If the Blog is gone, it's not much of a loss, since his last post of any real substance was a review of the then-new TGR products in the fall of '06.

]I'll save myself the trouble of a trip and just mail him a bottle of Lilac Vegetal.[/B]

Make sure the bottle is only capped w/ some chewed gum that will melt in the heat and allow the contents to escape-USPS will be sure to deliver it!:sneaky2:

i enjoyed his blog because it did talk down to people that needed to be talk down to. no you don't need 800 brushes and no they don't need to be displayed.

Happy Judgmental Monday! The hobbies and pleasures of others, that in no way, shape or form impact you at all (save for what you choose to get angry about), are stupid and pointless! WOOHOO!
