What's for Dinner at Your House?

Now imagine if you put some cheddar in your cornbread . . .
Chili--one of the four food groups, along with ribs, steak and cheeseburgers. How many bowls tonite, Tex? Two? Three? Four?!!
Mamma always made cornbread for ours. Then the leftover cornbread got crumbled into an ice cold glass of Buttermilk. Oh my that was something.
Tonight was smoked pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and grilled corn on the cob.
I tried something different with the mashed potatoes. I came across a fellow badger that mentioned how good the mashed potatoes are if you fold in onions sauteed in butter and Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce. Gave it a try and I definitely liked it.

That all looks delicious. I love Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and Sam Adams Summer Ale goes down so nice and easy. The only thing that threw me for a loop was the Honey Twist Pretzels. We have a large container of them (thanks to Costco) and I have never considered putting them on the same plate as my dinner. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
Truth be known, that is the first time I ever had them with a dinner. Not sure what possessed me to reach for the pretzels

Hey, you gotta go with what works for you. Truth be told I love noshing on them while watching TV or posting on B&B.
It was just two. Well, two big ones. Well, two big ones and what I ate with chips.
I’m on the way with a bowl and beer.
Come on over! We still have about five quarts left!
As a matter of fact, I do. Onion, too.
So, Eid dinner, Indonesian style: the afore-mentioned beef rendang, yellow rice, flavoured with turmeric and turmeric leaf, mixed veg in a light curry sauce, and sweet potato and chilli matchstick fries.

Grilled chicken breasts marinated with a fajita spice blend and tequila, shallots, avocado, tomato, shredded colby-jack, Young Guns green chile and crema Mexicana.
You had me at tequila.
Well folks it was burger day today. Seasoned with salt, pepper, ground cumin, and ground coriander. Roasted some garlic and rosemary potatoes and corn as well. Can’t let that fire go to waste! Hope you’re all doing ok.
