What would be the worst shaving tools u ever use??

An old flat-head, corded, Remington electric I used in 1960 would have to rank right up there. Could also be used to trim the lawn and was loud enough to make the neighbor's dog bark. I had to stand with my head against the wall so I wouldn't pull away from it. It was quick, because if you shaved too long the blades would get hot and you would get a heat burn as well as razor burn.

Hands downs, the worst shaving tool I have used were three-bladed disposables. They were so terrible, it is not even funny. I got nicks every shave and hated it.

Braun fold electric shaver... Worse everything...

Wetshaving wise... I can't really say that a M3 was that bad. It was expensive and I was looking at a more enjoyable alternative.

DE-wise... Shogun blades

Straight wise... None so fair

Without question, a pre WWII fat handled Gillette Tech, the one with the triangular holes in the base plate. Aggressive as you know what. It is a meat grinder. It was my dad's, and of course, I'll never part with it, and I won't shave with it either. It was the only razor he ever owned, and he shaved with it every day for at least 35 years. Many was the day that he had bits of tissue on the little nicks on his face.

The Norelco electric "wet-dry" shaver....It was the blue colored one that you loaded with packets of moisturizer, and had a button to make the lotion seep out while shaving. That thing felt it tore my hairs out of the follicle.

by far it was the electrics. I jad a braun foil type which was irritating as hell and would make me blead as it tweezed my face...then there were the 2 phillips with the 3 circles...my god the horrorrs....

the quatro was pretty bad too....felt like shaving with a porous rock...instead of a comfort strip it looks like it had a peice of pumics...do not want.

de- dorco reds....bar none the most painfull shave i've ever endured.

Another vote for electrics.

I've tried a number over the years - Norelco, Philips, Remington. Up until a couple of months before returning to DE shaving.

They always, to a one, either:

1. Irritated the heck out of my neck; or

2. Left so much stubble behind (in an attempt to avoid #1) that it was worthless.

I've used Schicks and Gillettes (single edge, double edge, cartridges) and they've all done fine by me.

Mom gave me a Panasonic wet/dry electric for Christmas back in the mid 90's. It pretty much sucked in both modes. All it did was lighten the shadow somewhat.

When I was younger and visiting relatives in the Phillipines my uncles would spend alot of spare time sitting out on the porch and plucking facial hair with tweezers instead of shaving.

Same here, electrics killed my face for quite a while in high school and early college.

Braun fold electric shaver, closely follow by a VDH boar brush. That brush would shed and shed and shed and shed some more after that. It was a horrid little brush, that that's saying something since I really like boar brushes.

A visibly rusty Daisy razor. Yeah, the one marketed for women in the 80's. I didn't have a razor with me and needed to be presentable. I should have just tried to look like a teenage Don Johnson wanna be, because I was not very presentable afterward.
