What would 1,400 samples smell like?

This is pretty crazy. Dutch artists Lernert and Sander combined 1,400 samples of every new perfume launched in 2012 to create Everything. "Everything smells of your average fragrance department store — that wall of smell that hits you when you enter it."

We did something similar with all the leftover alcohol in my fraternity house at the end of every semester - I don't think we ever created an award winning drink :)

I want a small sample vial of Everything!

Cheers Chandos! Hope you don't mind I stole the link and posted it over @ BN (with you credited, naturally). That is interesting as hell!

I'd guess it smells like bergamot, lavender, sandalwood, moss, musk and maybe vetiver...y'know the most common notes in most perfumes, they would sum up to have the greatest impact.

This is a honorable scent-oriented experiment. I salute that try, and I'd like to buy a sample of that perfume. In no other circumstance I'd buy something called 'everything'.
