What's new

What Was The Number One Song On the Day You Were Born?

Just looked it up:
"Hey There" by Rosemary Clooney
I have never heard this song knowingly and I have no clue who she is. I was born in Germany and I could find the hit for this day there.
Oh Rosemary Clooney was very big, back in the day.

I found it, I actually know the song. It's a standard now. No.1 in the US in June 1954.

This was No.1 in the FGR for June and July 1954

A song called Heideröslein

The Count of Merkur Cristo

B&B's Emperor of Emojis

For me, I believe it was (on "Billboard's" magazine);

I looked up and this is the No.1 in Billboard Hot 100 on my birthday.

The first time I've heard this song. Not my taste.. I prefer 1990's rock musics....

I‘m really feeling my age tonight. Pusser’s Gunpowder

but it’s really Music, Music, Music - Teresa Brewer
The dawn of the 50's paying homage to the 20's.

A common theme, the late 70's and early 80's being very into the 50's, the 90's basically copying much of the 60's, especially later Beatles styles (I'm looking at you Oasis) and the 2000's the 80's.

Here she is!

Oh I love this one. I was 9 and living in Southend On Sea, reading my 4 comics every Saturday when they got delivered, (Valiant And TV 21, Whizzer And Chips, The Beezer, The Beano) and eating ice cream and chocolate bars that tasted so good and with names you can't find anymore, and generally being 9.

It still reminds me of that feeling.
