What To Do With My Keys?

Hey guys, I am looking for a solution to keeping my keys in my pocket. I wear slacks to work, and my keys seem to slightly damage the fabric on the outside of my pocket over time. I am kind of a key minimalist, so I don't have a lot, but still, I would like a good solution. Also I want to stop the jingle jangle when I walk. What do you guys keep your keys in? I've seen key pouches and key wallets, but so far I haven't seen any I like. Options?

If you have a number of different keys and only need certain keys on certain days, I would recommend something like this. I have one, and I like it a lot, as it allows me to only carry what I need that day.

I find I pretty much have to use a soft leather key case that goes around the keys completely, in my case lately actually zips around them, or the keys wear out the insides of my pockets. The flatter the case and the thinner the leather the better so that it does not bulge too much.

I try to limit the number of keys I carry around, but I do not switch them off depending on where I am going for fear I will be somewhere where I need a key that I had taken out of the case and not put back. Similarly, I do not put my keys anywhere but the pocket of my trousers, for fear my key will be somewhere where I am not, such as locked in my office on a Sunday afternoon with me locked outsided the office! Learn vicarioulsy from my painful experiences.

I do carry my car key with electronic fob for unlocking the car doors, etc. separately. It is too much to have dangling from the ignition slot to have all of keys and a case. Also, I would have to do a lot of work to lock my key in the car, and as long as I have my other keys I can get back into wherever I may have left my car keys! And one key and fob do not tend to jangle. I do not like that jangling sound either!

This may be annoying to some, but I have 3 key chains. I only keep the keys that I will need directly on my person. I have two work keys that are the only keys I keep on me at work. I have a "home" key chain that has my house keys, garage key, PO Box key and bike key. And my car key chain. I leave my house key chain in my work bag or in my car in the change holder. I leave my car key on my desk or in my work bag. This way I never have to carry more keys than I will need, and not bulging pockets.

The Knize,
Your situation sounds identical to my own. I keep my car key and fob separate from my other keys, and I try to carry a minimum amount of keys, but I like to keep them on my person.
Can you provide a link or photo of the leather case you use?
Thanks.
